DTE Energy is working to restore power to its customers as quickly and safely as possible. However, due to the magnitude and severity of the storms, restoration efforts may take some time. Customers can view the outage map for the latest updates, as well as sign up for text and email alerts about the status of their power. Customers can also check their account for updates.

The DTE Outage Map is an interactive online tool provided by DTE Energy, a Detroit-based energy company. This tool allows customers to view real-time power outage information and estimated restoration times for outages in their area. This information is gathered from the DTE Energy network and updated every 15 minutes. Customers can also use this tool to report an outage or view causes of outages.

How to DTE Outage Map?

1. Go to the DTE website: To access the DTE outage map, start by going to the official DTE website at www.dteenergy.com.

2. Log in to your account: Log into your DTE account. You can do this by entering your username and password on the home page and then click the “Log In” button.

3. Select the “Outage Map” option: Once logged in, select the “Outage Map” link in the top navigation bar. This will open up a new page where you will be able to view the interactive map.

4. Locate your area: Once the map has loaded, you can find your location by either zooming in or typing your address in the search bar. Once you have located your area, you can click on the map to get more information about outages in that specific area.



5. View outage details: When you select an area on the map, a pop-up will appear with detailed information about power outages in the selected area. This information will include the estimated restoration time, cause of the outage, approximate number of customers affected, and more.

6. Report an outage: If you are experiencing a power outage and it is not currently listed on the outage map, you can report it directly to DTE by clicking the “Report an Outage” button located at the top right corner of the screen.

7. Contact customer service: If you have any questions or need additional assistance, you can contact DTE customer service directly by calling 1-800-477-4747 or by using their online live chat option.

By following these steps, you can easily access the DTE outage map and use it to stay up-to-date on power outages in your area. This way, you can be prepared for any potential interruptions and be able to take the necessary steps to stay safe during outages.

The DTE Outage Map is available online and can be viewed at https://dteenergy.com/outagemap. This map can be used to get up to date information on any current power outages in the area. You can view the map by entering your address or zip code and using the zoom and map navigation tools to find detailed information on any active outages.

How to report your outage to DTE Energy's Outage Center

1. Go to DTE Energy's website and look for the "Outage Center" link.

2. Click on the “Outage Center” link.

3. You will then be taken to the DTE Energy Outage Center page. From here, you can report your outage.

4. On the top right of the page, you will see the “Report an Outage” button. Click on this button.

5. You will be taken to a form where you will need to provide your service address. Enter this address, and then click the “Continue” button.

6. On the next page, enter your primary phone number and click “Continue.”

7. You will then be taken to a form where you can provide a detailed description of your outage.

8. Provide information about the type of outage you are experiencing (e.g. power outage, flickering lights, etc.), and its location.

9. If you are unsure of the cause of the outage, you can select “Unknown” on the drop-down menu.

10. If you have any additional information you would like to provide, you can include it in the “Additional Information” section.

11. Once you have provided all of the necessary information, click “Submit” to report your outage to DTE Energy.

12. Once you have reported your outage, you will receive an email confirming that your report has been received. If additional information is required, DTE Energy will contact you via email or phone.

13. If you need to contact customer service, you can call the DTE Energy Outage Center at 800-477-4747.

14. If you need to report an outage online, you can also visit the DTE Energy Outage Map.

15. The Outage Map is an interactive map where you can enter your address to find out if there are any outages in your area. You can also report an outage by clicking on the “Report an Outage” icon in the upper right corner of the map.
